Question: Cleaning the inside of a dishwasher I need to know how to clean a rusty residue from the inside of my dishwasher. Bonnie Snively bsnively@eohio.net (Ref:0104)

Answer#1: There are several things you can do to clean rust like build up from inside your dishwasher. You can run it empty with a cup of white distilled vinegar to clean out the stain. If the stain is still there, try a lime, rust and scale cleaner and run empty. I run vinegar through once a month and this prevents hard deposits from getting a head start. -- Good Luck, Patti    Seizetheday!

Answer#2: You can purchase a product at the supermarket called Glisten. This will remove stains from the dishwasher. Use according to the directions on the package. It works wonders. I have also heard that Tang will produce the same results, although I have never tried it. Good luck! -- Anon

Answer#3: Try some aluminium foil in the cutlery section and the rust spots will be gone forever. -- Terkel
