Q: When I was younger I thought I would be a professional athlete when I grew up. Now I realize that this was a childhood dream. But I still love sports and I wonder what other careers involving sports might be out there for me. -- DE (Ref:1107)
A: Sports are a huge industry and there are many careers which would keep you involved in this area: These include becoming a physical education teacher or a coach in an elementary school, middle or high school, or college. You might also involve yourself in sports medicine, physical therapy, or becoming a trainer. If you think that the business of sports is more in line with your talents, look at being a club manager, athletic director, marketing specialist, or investigate equipment and clothing sales.
